The snow wasn’t going to stop us visiting Gallones Ice Cream Parlour to create our own ice cream! Every Cub attended and had great fun guessing the ice cream flavourings and where the colours came from. Who knew that the blue in bubblegum ice cream comes from a type of seaweed!!
After the voting took place the Cubs made bubblegum & cherry flavour blue ice cream. Everyone had a turn at mixing the ingredients before it was put in the ice cream maker for the final process.
What to do whilst we wait? Have an ice cream of course! A variety of flavours were chosen – tiramisu, mint choc chip, oreo, cherry burgundy, funky monkey…….. Even Jack got to have one.
The following week the Cubs all made a pancake each and enjoyed it with a scoop of their own ice cream creation.
