Well, as we all know last weekends ‘Duck Race’ was postponed due to the state of the ground down at the Pocket Park. This put the planned ‘Party In The Park’ at risk as this would have been at the Pocket Park as well.
Rather than cancel the party we decided to go ahead with it and moved the venue to the Scout Hut.
A great evening was had by all and we would like to thank everyone who came along and especially those who helped out on the night and with the planning.
As it turned out the weather was not to bad so we had the BBQ outside whilst the Scout Band , otherwise known as Reef-Not rocked the joint inside.
We managed to raise over £250.00 for the Scouts and had a lot of fun along the way.
The Duck race has now been rescheduled for Sunday July 15th at 1pm so if you didn’t manage to buy a ticket last time round there is still time.
