Our annual Scout Christmas post was once again a great success last year. We sold 2,827 stamps, sent 2,394 cards to other groups for posting, received 3,086 from other groups to post and raised £635 for the group. 1 card was successfully despatched to France, numerous wrongly addressed cards were corrected and delivered and 1 card remains undelivered as we have no idea where the address is! A big thank you to everyone who helped out both with deliveries and organising. Lets hope we can do even better in 2011, as it’s both a great asset to the community as...

Sainsbury’s store in Burton Latimer have recently been running their ‘Active Kids’  promotion, allowing customers to collect vouchers that can then be swapped by schools for sports equipment. Now that the promotion has ended, the local store in Burton Latimer offered to donate the contents of the in store display to 1st Burton as part of their continued support for their nominated charity for 2010.
